Following early screenings for press and influencers, first reactions to the highly anticipated film are overwhelmingly positive, with many calling it one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s strongest entries to date.

Critics and early viewers have praised the film’s stunning visuals, emotional depth, and stellar performances, particularly from Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm and Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards.

Film editor, Matt Neglia echoed that sentiment, calling the retro-futuristic aesthetic delightful and highlighting director Matt Shakman’s “snappy, confident storytelling.” He also called it the “best depiction of this quartet on-screen to date.”

Other reactions singled out the film’s family dynamics and chemistry among the cast. Joseph Quinn (Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing) round out the titular team, whose battle against cosmic villain, Galactus marks a bold new step for the MCU.

Vanessa Kirby, in particular, has emerged as a breakout fan favorite, with one reviewer declaring, “Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, babe, I will die for you.”
