Hero Without a Class Anime Drops Teaser, Adds Rumi Okubo

Hero Without a Class anime drops teaser trailer, new cast, and theme songs! Follow Arel’s journey as a skill-less hero defying fate. Premieres this October with streaming on HIDIVE.

The upcoming television anime adaptation of Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?! (originally Mushoku no Eiyū: Betsu ni Skill Nanka Iranakattan da ga) has unveiled a teaser trailer, additional cast members, and theme song artists during the "Earth Star Novels 10th Anniversary Summer Festival" event.

The series, based on the novel by Shichio Kuzu and illustrated by Yumehito Ueda, tells the story of Arel, a boy born without a class or skills in a world where such attributes determine one's fate. Defying all odds, Arel relies on sheer determination and cunning to carve out his own path as a hero.

The teaser video previews the opening theme song "Reincarnation," performed by Kaya, while the ending theme "Kiseki Nanka Iranai" (I Don’t Need Something Like a Miracle) is performed by Utahime Dream All Stars. 

The anime features Kenshō Ono as Arel, Saori Hayami as Laina, and Sumire Uesaka as Lilia. New cast announcements include Rumi Okubo joining as the character Kufa.

The project is directed by Kaoru Yabana at Studio A-Cat, with Chabo Higurashi overseeing the scripts. Hiroto Morishita handles sound direction, and Kento Asahina composes the music.

Hero Without a Class is scheduled to premiere on television in October and will be available for streaming on d Anime Store in Japan. HIDIVE will simulcast the series internationally and will premiere the first episode at Anime NYC from August 21–24 in New York City.

The novel series originally debuted on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2017 and has since been published by Earth Star Entertainment, with a manga adaptation by Akio Nanae serialized in Comic Earth Star since 2018. 

One Peace Books is currently releasing the English translation of the manga.
